Skills and Spiritual Development School “Timothy”

has been created to give a chance for youngsters from villages and towns of Uganda to attain different kinds of skills which could be usefull in the market place.

     

In the past the school offered courses of construction building, carpentry, welding and others. After a break of Covid-19 the school restarted with a fresh wind of new courses.  First for girls with the tailoring course for around 60 young ladies, and recently also for boys.

Male students occupy new compound in the village of Nyarubingo which became a branch of the school for boys distinctively. Now the students have been taught shoe making technology, and are bound to start another course of local furniture production technics soon.

 

 

 

As the school teaches not only manual skills but also emphasizes spiritual growth of students, also a bible study was launched with additional course of biblical theology, on foundational level. Some students showed their interest in attaining new English or Rutooro bibles, which was funded by Polish donors from evangelical churches from Poland.

Besides the above, school shares the compound together with a local evangelical church, established by Gate of Hope in 2018. The congregation, during terms, is enriched by the students from Timothy school, who attend sunday services, together with the rest of the church members from the village.
